Practice Nurse - By Appointment
The practice nurse holds a clinic at the times shown below.

Please note: blood tests need to be booked before 1:30pm in order for the sample to reach the laboratory.

Longer Appointments
Practice Nurse appointments are spaced for ten minute consultations with the exception of influenza and pneumococcal vaccinations - these are normally booked for five minute appointments.
Please book a ten minute appointment for the following:
- Asthma monitoring
- Blood tests
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Diabetes monitoring
- Weight management and dietary advice
- Health promotion
- Contraception advice
- Childhood immunisations
- Wound dressings
Please book a twenty minute appointment for the following:
- New Patient Examination
- Cervical Smear
- Travel advice and travel immunisation
- Ear Syringing
- Spirometry
- 24 Hour Ambulatory BP Monitoring
- ECG
Please book a thirty minute appointment for the following:
- Smoking Cessation
- Minor Surgery (with practice nurse and GP)
Antenatal Clinics
These are held every Tuesday from 8am to 1pm. The initial booking is booked though the surgery reception and thereafter the midwife will make a follow-up appointment for you whilst you are at the surgery. Your first booking appointment will take approximately one hour.
Minor Surgery
These clinics are held as and when the need arises. If, after your consultation with the GP, it is decided that you need minor surgery, a suitable time will be arranged with yourself, the practice nurse and the GP.
Child Health
The health visitor holds regular clinics. These clinics are run in conjunction with the practice nurse. Either phone the health visitor on 01865 458430 or the practice reception for appointments.
*Please note that the practice nurse carries out all childhood immunisations. This means that you can attend any of the practice nurse clinics to have your child immunised, you are not restricted to the child health clinic.
Yellow Fever
The practice is a registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre and have to charge for the vaccine and a certificate. Appointments can be booked through reception. Please note you do not have to be registered with us to receive this service.
