The practice runs a full appointment system for all weekday surgeries. All appointments with a GP or practice nurse are booked at ten minute intervals.
Appointments can be made in person, by phoning the surgery or online.
There is no restriction on how far in advance appointments may be booked.
If your condition requires urgent medical attention, then we will always make an emergency appointment available to you on the same day, although there may be limited choice of doctor and appointment times. Please make the receptionist aware that you require an urgent appointment, remembering that it needs to be a medical emergency not simply a matter of your wish to be seen sooner.
The doctors and our practice nurse are happy to give telephone advice. We normally advise patients to ring about 11.30 as this is the most likely time to be able to talk to a doctor. If, however, you are not able to talk to a doctor or nurse at this time, we will take your number and ask a doctor or nurse to call you back as soon as they are free. Please make sure we have the correct telephone number to enable us to return your call.
The surgery has access to a telephone interpreting service. If you are likely to need this service or are arranging an appointment for someone else who is in need of this service please let us know, in advance, so the necessary arrangements can be made.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
