Travel vaccine shortages and limited availability
There is a nationwide shortage of some travel vaccines including Hepatitis B. So please seek advice from a nurse or travel clinic before booking your travel.
ONLINE ACCESS - register today
You can now view your medical record, make appointments and order repeat prescriptions from anywhere in the world 24 hours a day. To register for online access you will need to confirm your identity by bringing 2 forms of ID into the practice (one must include a photo and one your current address). Reception will then give you a letter containing the registration details that you will need to register at home (these remain valid for 28 days). Unfortunately, even if you were up and running on the previous system you will still need to re-register and confirm your identity - we need to be very careful when granting access to a patient's medical records. Oxford's 'out-of-hours' GP record sharing initiative
This new initiative makes it possible for health professionals working from the 'out-of-hours' health centres in Oxford and Abingdon to view (with your permission) your GP medical record if treating you when we are closed. We have provided more information about this record sharing arrangement and details of how to opt out, and the organisers - OxFed - have also produced this leaflet.
Care.Data has been abandoned by NHS England
NHS England announced on 06 July 2016 that the care.data programme would be wound up. The reasons for this decision are outlined in this newspaper article.
“In light of Dame Fiona [Caldicott]’s recommendations, NHS England has taken the decision to close the care.data programme,” NHS England said in a statement.
“However, the government and the health and care system remain absolutely committed to realising the benefits of sharing information, as an essential part of improving outcomes for patients. Therefore this work will now be taken forward by the National Information Board, in close collaboration with the primary care community.”

If you feel you cannot wait until we re-open, please phone 111 for advice and/or to speak to a doctor. Do not go to the hospital A&E department unless it is an emergency. We are now using the NHS Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This gives you the ability to have your prescription sent by us to any pharmacy you choose to collect your medicines from, without the need to pick up a paper prescription from the surgery.

All patients have been allocated a named GP, which ensures you always have a named individual you can go to should you need it.
