Dr. Gordon Gancz MA BM BCh

Dr. Gancz started in this practice in 1976 having been an undergraduate at Pembroke College, Oxford.  He has worked in the Radcliffe Infirmary, the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Churchill Hospital and used to be in full-time obstetrics.  He has been a College Doctor since 1976 and his involvement in University medicine includes helping to set up the University Counselling Service as well as the current College Welfare systems.  He has particular interests in the problems of young people, general medicine and obstetrics. Dr. Naomi Drury BA BM BCh

Dr. Drury started in this practice in 2005 as a GP Retainer having been an undergraduate at The Queen’s College. She has also worked in all the Oxford Hospitals and has been in General Practice since 2002.  Dr. Drury currently works on a Thursday and Friday.

Dr. Jennifer Shute MA BM BCh

Dr. Shute started in this practice in 2007 having returned to Oxford after many years living and working in General Practice in South Wales.  Dr. Shute also qualified from Oxford University, St. Hugh’s College.

Practice Manager


Matthew Bramall came to the practice with experience in Social Work and Local Government Administration.  He joined the the practice from the Oxfordshire Health and Wellbeing Partnership and is responsible for all the administrative affairs to ensure everything in the practice runs smoothly.  He can be contacted on 01865 242657 or by email:

Mrs Lilian Pallister works as practice secretary on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and can be contacted on the surgery phone number 01865 242657 or by email: 

Lilian also works as a receptionist on a Tuesday.

Mrs Jayne Howes works as practice secretary on a Monday and Wednesday and can be contacted as above.  Jayne also works as a receptionist.

District Nurses

Our excellent team of District Nursing Staff comprises of Lucy (Case Manager), Claire, Shirley and Sarah.  They give nursing care to our elderly and housebound patients and are happy to give advice and support to carers. They can be contacted on:  É 01865 458420




For antenatal care, our midwives, Ita and Sarah, hold a clinic at the surgery on Monday morning between 8am and 11am.
